How it works

XL Starlux emits a beam of highly concentrated light absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicles. The light energy is then converted into heat, damaging the hair follicle and inhibiting future hair growth.

In order to achieve effective hair removal, the 1200W powered laser with a 808nm wavelength is highly absorbed by the melanin (dark pigment) that surrounds the hair follicle. At the same time the skin is protected or cooled to prevent it overheating and causing damage.
